Skin checks

With the increasing number of skin cancer occurrence in the United States, getting routine skin checks is important. Here in the office, your provider will thoroughly check over your skin and educate you on the various common skin growths as well as what features to look for with malignant skin growths. Early detection and removal of skin cancer often results in a very high cure rate. Depending on many factors such as age, skin type, and amount of sun exposure, your provider will recommend how frequently you should have your skin examined.

Schedule an appointment sooner if you see anything new or worrisome. For further information, see the American Academy of Dermatology website on what to look for with skin cancers, how we diagnose skin cancers, the available treatment options, and outcome.

Skin conditions

We specialize in the extensive disorders of the skin, nails, and hair. Examples (and not limited to) of common diagnoses we see in our office include rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, allergic contact rashes, acne, warts, molluscum, shingles, athlete’s foot, nail fungus and health, hair loss, excessive sweating, and other complex skin conditions like vitiligo and pemphigoid, or skin manifestations due to internal illnesses.

Skin surgery

Many benign or malignant skin growths can be removed in a dermatology office. Using careful, precise, and artistic techniques to minimize scarring, we perform surgical excision under local anesthesia.

Mohs surgery

A form of dermatological surgery that is performed by our specially trained surgeon, Dr. Michael Hadley. This procedure is the most effective and advanced treatment for skin cancer and offers the highest potential for cure. It offers a tissue-saving technique for patients with skin cancer. Cancerous skin is removed in one 1 millimeter layer at a time and examined until the cancer is no longer present. This method is very effective for cancerous growths on the face, neck, and scalp.
